Classic Country’s Patsy Cline and Friends featuring CJ Newsom & The Re-Cliners band with four-time Branson Entertainer of the Year Terry Wayne Sanders bring a distinctive flair to Branson not seen anywhere else with a tribute to Patsy Cline and what she means to country music not just through song but what her success has meant for female entertainers that came after her.
Coupled with the comedy stylings of Terry Wayne Sanders’ host of many characters including Homer Lee, Joan Rivers, Grandma Beulah, and a spot on impersonation of Barney Fife among others, the show is a diamond for sure.
The award winning Re-Cliners compliment Newsom’s vocal style with strong musical backbone. Band members James Goldapp, Keyboard & Woodwinds; Craig White, Drums; Josh Carroll, Lead Guitar, George Geisser, Guitar; Fiddle, Mandolin, and Harmonica; and Justin Herzog, Upright Bass offer a strong musical accompaniment to the classic voice of CJ Newsom. They also get in on the comedy end of things wit Terry Wayne Sanders.
Many guests attending the show are familiar with the music of Patsy Cline but not aware of her full life story. Newsom goes into great detail to fill in the blanks of Patsy’s life as she sings her way through the hits.
Newsom also sings the songs of Loretta Lynn, Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton and several others. You can also expect a number of songs from the Re-Cliners as well, including numbers from the Johnny Cash songbook.
