America’s Favorite TV House Mum Dead At 92


One of America’s Favorite TV house moms has died at the age of 92. Bringing wisdom to the Facts of Life girls every week Charlotte Rae became a mainstay of American television for a generation of young people.

According to media reports, the actress announced last year that she had been diagnosed with bone cancer after being treated previously for pancreatic cancer.

Her career spanned six decades and included, TV, movies, and theater. She also had a string guest spots on a number of popular series of the day including Murder, She Wrote; St.Elsewhere; Love Boat; Barney Miller; The King of Queens; and ER among so many others.

According to her publicist she passed away surround by friends and family members.
