Now that President Trump has accepted the resignation of Nikki Haley as UN Ambassador speculation is swirling he will fill the spot with his daughter Ivanka.
The possibility began to take light shortly after it was announced that Haley had resigned. Many speculate that filling the spot with his daughter would give the President more control over what the new UN Ambassador would say and how the ambassador would act on the world stage.
Conservative commentators like Anne Coulter have already endorsed the idea while other have pointed out that Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner have wanted to return to New York City live and only moved to the nation’s Capitol to work at the White House.
Haley did refer to Ivanka as a great friend in remarks made to the press at the Oval office Tuesday.
President Trump said he would make the replacement after Haley leaves her position at the end of this year.
